The Second Annual International Tsehai Conference took place in Dallas, Texas in the first week of July 2007. The theme of this year conference was Ethiopia: In the Eve of the New Millennium. The conference was an intensive, life-changing experience where young people had access to positive, charismatic leaders in many fields and where they forged long-term relationships that will continue to inspire positive change in their life and the society at large.

A project of the Ethiopian Heritage Foundation, this conference was jointly organized by the International Journal of Ethiopian Studies and the Ethiopian Institute for Nonviolence Education and Peace Studies.
The main objective of Tsehai Conference is to provide an international forum that brings together academics, researchers, other professionals, civic and political leaders, artists and entrepreneurs to discuss, debate and deliberate on the State of Ethiopian affairs and the diaspora.
This second annual Tsehai conference consisted a series of panels and roundtables, workshop, films, new books, and awards run and presented by Ethiopian leaders — community activists, scientists, artists, writers, historians, and others—who gather for the purpose of exchanging ideas that promote solutions to world problems.
